The last CJ....

I am a little bit sad and a little bit happy to have finally finished the last entry in the last CJ of the Rock Resurrected Circle hosted by Flo over on UKS. I had 2 entries to do - a catch up one in sians lyrics journal:

I took a little bit of a liberty and misquoted the lyric, to make it convey some of the message i get from the song. one of my most fave 'happy time' songs, and you can't listen without it making you feel cheerful.

Then I had kates 'art journal with lyrics' to do:

Its a double page spread but I photographed it separately as it was easier. Pinks Floyds 'Another brick in the wall' used to scare me a bit when first released - not the song so much - but the animated video that went with it. The big mincing machine that the kids were shoved into, and those marching hammers..... eeeeek - stuff of my nightmares.... but a very good song, and one that made me aware of Pink Floyd so that when I was older I listened to more of their stuff and thus discovered one of my top 20 albums of all time - Wish you were here. Back to the CJ entry, I used a red ink to make some 'gore' - i.e. slightly evocative of dripping blood. And a wall. Obviously. My new favourite products - liquitex flexible texture paste and liquitex acrylic inks.

So - that was a very productive weekend! And its only saturday night, and I have all day Sunday to get cracking on making my new collaboration project - a pairs journal - and also to make a piece of mail art!
