5 on a Friday

Time for 5 on a Friday - slightly later than usual today as I didn't manage to schedule my post properly!!

Todays topic:

Jobs or vocations you have had or would like to do.

Well this is an easy one this week! 5 jobs I have had:

1. Childcare practitioner - current occupation, sounds posh doesnt it?/ he he - its not - but it IS a lot of fun and a big responsibility. I work for Barnardo's but within Children's centres looking after children 0-5yrs in crèche or nursery. I am very lucky to only work term time and school hours, so it fits in with Tom and school really well.
2. Deputy manager of a charity shop - working for Barnardos again, in one of their shops! It was interesting - that's all I have to say about that!
3. Carpet sales assistant. Not interesting - but I did get really cheap carpets LOL I did this when Jamie was at Nursery.
4. Shift manager in a coffee shop. I loved this, it was busy town centre shop that was also a bookshop and craft shop - every other weekend I was in charge on a Saturday, and I worked 3 other days in a week. Thomas went into daycare while I worked there, but I had to give the job up when he started school as arranging childcare round my shifts and in school hols was a nightmare and too expensive.
5. Bar Maid - I have worked in a LOT of pubs and a working mens club - some I enjoyed (like the one where I met my hubby!) and some I didn't (like the one where we all had to hide in the back room while glasses were being thrown around during a huge massive fight!!! eeek had forgotten about that till just now - wish I hadn't actually remembered LOL)

I havent included craft teacher in my list - that is more of a vocation, and one that I love so very much.
